Title: Photographer at convention
Post by: bear tooth billy on February 01, 2017, 08:07:04 PM
Our photographer from last year is not coming back, and I was talking to a local photographer
but she is booked. So my question is? Do you think we need a professional photographer or
can some of our members take pictures.

Many times in the past we didn't have a professional. Lone Gunman use to take the pictures for the magazine. I don't think it's necessary.

Best regards, stop by and say 'Hi!' if ya ain't been by for awhile.

Ol Gabe good to hear from you. We have a very good convention planned and it's only about an
hour away from your place. So we sure hope to see you there.  An hour? that's dragging distance!!

I will set up a booth at the convention & provide limited service. I will sell 5x7 only in the choice of 8x10 brown & gold framing mat, wanted poster, or 5x7 photo folder. Will be printing at the booth, with turnaround time of less than 1/2 hour. I will charge $7.50 per, with $2.50 going for supplies, & $5.00 going to NCOWS. I will bring a supply of uniforms for convention visitors to dawn, & a couple of guns as props. I could use some help.

I am only one person, I doubt that I can do it alone. This is my 1st attempt at doing this, I have a flow of how to process getting people signed in & collect the money, if they are not dressed period, will have several uniforms to choose from, (all size 48) & size large hats, don't have any dresses, but some of my MO battle shirts could be worn by women, & photograph waist up.  Each person will be given a pair of tickets, & be recorded on the sign in sheet. I will have 2 cameras, so if things are happening too fast, could take a couple in a row before connecting to computer to print out. Then the photos will need to be cut, & placed in photo mat or folder. The sign in sheet will have customer name, ticket number, columns for color or sepia tone, old style photo mat, wanted poster or folder. Hoping to complete with in 1/2 hour. I will need to scout the area to see where I may setup before the banquet, if I stay in the hall, will need 2 people, 1 assistant, 1 security.

When the photo is taken, collect 1 of the tickets, after printed out, it will be stapled to the envelope containing the photo. I will also have a dozen large clips, so if my uniforms are way over sized,  pinch the coat in back, & clamp on a clip.

I have obtained $75.00 in Effigy Mounds quarters as  change, & as time gets closer, I will pick up $100 in golden dollars.
