Well, now...
...right here in Hoternhell, Arizona the temperature on my rear deck is 29 degrees Fahrenheit.
Gotta dig out my pea coat, heavier underwear and thick shirts and sweaters. Might even round up gloves, scarf and watch cap, too
-
20*F here this morning. A few days ago I was shooting in shirtsleeves. Winter came all of a sudden.
-
Somebody along the Front Range of Colorado, including Denver, threw the thermostat switch from Summer to Winter. About 4-inches of snow in the southern suburbs! Melting now, but they say there is another storm coming Tuesday. And I just paid to have my trees and shrubs deep-watered! :P Ah, well, at least the skeeters and flies are gone for awhile.
-
73 degrees here, broke last year's record of 71. This is in Northeast Ohio mind you!! 8)
Tomorrow night it's gonna turn to crap, cold and maybe a little tiny bit of white stuff tomorrow night!
-
30 degrees in NorCal the past few days. Supposed to get a couple inches of snow in the higher parts of town tonight. Tomorrow it's supposed to convert into rain, then refreeze overnight. Highway ought to be fun. ::)

One thing about winter, you never have to fight for a picnic table at the park.
-
Won't be long here before we consider it a "nice day" to be outdoors if it's sunny, no wind and -10*C, (-23*F). I'll still go x-country skiing then, but not if there is a wind.
It used to drop to -40*(that's where Fahrenheit and Celsius meet) in these parts at one time, but no more, due to global warming. You'd hear what sounded like a gun shot and it would be a tree exploding. We have a few on our wood lot and it sure looks odd. The trees somehow survive this.

PJ: Daryl and I are going out tomorrow to shoot our muzzle loading postal match for the ALR site. Like you, I can't abide the wind.

Not a lot of muggings, either. No self-respecting street crook wants to wait in an alley in that sort of weather.

Nov 18…sunny and 71
Nov 20…cloudy, windy and 31 with a light dusting of snow!!!
Yep weather here in Northeast Ohio!!! 8)

Ah shoulda done figgered mah ornery brother'd be a complainin! Stawp it already, dangit! Aincha got nothin' better ta do? ;D
-
Quite crisp this morning: -20 F (-27 C). I let the dogs out and they promptly went into hiding in their hay lair instead of doing their usual 'walk-about'.
I think I'll plug in the vehicles as it's predicted to be even colder over the next few days.

Where you been, little brother? Ma figured you'd been drafted or taken away in a flying saucer. Pa reckoned you were in jail somewhere or dead at the hands of a vengeful husband or a disgruntled (as opposed to one who is gruntled) card player
If you ain't any of those things you best check in here from time to time or I'll have to find stepladder and a willow switch

It's -32*C this morning on a clear blue sky. That's getting pretty close to where C and F meet at -40*.
I build a fire in the stove at the Community Hall every Wed. for the ladies Quilt Club. I'm thinking it just won't get warm enough for them to do any work.
-
-2C here in Sunny Ft. Victoria. That's about 29F. Absolutely frozen as the humidity is vey high.
There is a well known bit of Canukish. "Yabut its a dry cold, Eh!" (Doesn't apply here in Canada's banana belt.)
-
One of the quilting ladies did a smart thing. She built a fire in the stove last night, tamped down the draft and when I got there, it was still semi-warm. All I had to do was add more kindling and wood from the wood shed I stocked last fall, my contribution to the community.
We'll be doing the same thing for next Saturday when we have our annual "Silent Art Auction", our major fund raiser. It can be actual objets d'arte or baking, hand crafts, root vegetables, etc. I'm donating a "Day At The Range" to include instruction and ammo for any and all handguns the bidder cares to shoot - .22/.38/.9mm/.45.
Most of the folks are hunters, but few are handgunners. I hope I get a lady bidder or two. The more women shooters, the better!

Well you guys sittin in balmy weather sippin ice tea and if ya have a yearn for cold weather, come to North Iowa. It was -8*F at sunrise this morning (Thurs) and at 4PM it's a whole 4*F. Saturday night a low of -20*F is suppose to hit with Sunday sunny skies of -15* for a high during the day, subzero -15*F at night. Wind chills approaching -40*. Have been out before shootin cap and ball in cold weather like this and ya don't mess around to much loadin, makes any greased wads pretty stiff. Next week a heat wave of 20*F or so is suppose to be here so everyone will be talking how nice it is after the sub-zero stuff. Need a lot of bark on yer hide to be out in the sub-zero stuff, but I can handle it better than the 90* heat waves with high humidity. We're one day closer to spring than we were yesterday anyway. ;D

Well, as we say here in Texas, "If you don't like the weather, just wait a minute." In my part of the state, the forecasted high for Friday is 75°, Saturday night, 13°, Sunday night, 12°. Truly amazing....

They missed our forecast a little. Last Friday's high was actually 81°, Saturday night/Sunday morning low was 8°.
