When people ask me about being cold blooded, . . . I just tell em I came back from Vietnam in April of 1968 and I've been cold ever since, . . . usually shuts em up.
But not far from the truth either.
Yeah, . . . lovin' this weather.
May God bless,
Dwight

I'll thank you not to talk about long hot summer days with balmy sultry evenings. In Ireland today it's rained almost all day and damn hard for 20 minutes round 7:00 pm. So we just sat in the bar.

We hit 100 again today in Western Washington, which is far too hot for me. Maybe I should move someplace cooler, like... Hmmm, it's hot pretty much everywhere, isn't it?

Yep. But if yer humidity is around 20-25% it ain't that bad. wM1

We're not used to the heat out here. Once it passes about 75, people start complaining. I'm much happier at 70. I'd go with some of that Irish rain about now.

After literally weeks of rain every day practically, . . . we got a nice last couple of weeks, . . . I was beginning to think the weather wasn't too bad for a change.
Woke up this morning, . . . everything soaked, . . . ain't gonna get no beans picked today (brother's garden, mine washed out).
Believ me, nagantino, . . . if I could hitch my Jeep to these clouds and drag em to you, . . . I'd be tempted.
My hay partner just finally got the first cutting off my place last week.
May God bless,
Dwight

98 to 102 deg F forecasted for the next 5 days, and no rain forecasted, but a chance of thunderstorms (as always on the coast in the summer). Things have definately dried out since a couple of months ago! Lots of hay bailing was going on last week and this weekend in my part of the great state of Texas.

I remember in the late 60's after my return from Uncle Sams guided tour I came home one morning about 3:30 (we lived on a farm about 10 miles south of town) I saw my neighbor out in his field looked ta me like he was balin hay. I saw him a couple days later and asked him what he had been doing. He said "balin hay". WTH! He told me it was so dry that he would wait until the dew formed on the hay so it would not crumble when he was balin it. If I remember correctly we had less than 1/2" of precipitation between Dec and that next July. And it was hot. wM1

Don't know how true it is, . . . but rumor has it that Iran set a new world's record for heat index (combo of heat and humidity), . . . supposed to feel like 167 degrees.
Closed down a couple of towns, . . . electricity ran amok, . . .
My wife and I went out yesterday, . . . hi80's/lo90's. . . . picked a bushel and a half of white half runner beans, . . . wasn't too uncomfortable for me, . . . 'cept for the stinking little gnats buzzing around.
May God bless,
Dwight

They announced on the PA system at work around 12:15, that we are now in Level 3 heat stress advisory (over 104 F heat index). It has normally been mid-afternoon before we reach this level. Thank our Father, that we aren't in Iran...for many reasons!!
