I'm in the market for an 1873 Uberti rifle or carbine in 38 Special.
Pistol grip
Question: Will the 357 magnum models feed 38 special cases without issue?
If you have one you want to part with, please email me pictures and price:

If COL is correct they will feed 38 sp with no problems. Moulton lead sells 38/357 bullets that will feed reliably in Uberti 73's. wM1

I run 38s through my Uberti 73 short rifle almost exclusively. I reload all my own ammo and when I got the 73 I was loading my rounds OAL at 1.500 to 1.550. I had a little bit of a problem with jamming while cycling the rifle fast. I talked to both the dealer I bought the rifle from and the gunsmith that installed the short stroke kit and did the action job. They told me to try to keep my OAL of my cartridges to 1.440 to 1.445. Since doing this, I have run at least 2000 rounds down the pipe without a single jam up. The 38s work flawlessly! Good luck getting the Uberti you want. Let us know how it work for you. I love mine! Happy and safe shooting! W. L. :)

Mine generally runs best in the 1.45-1.50 range. :)
