Folks, looks like there will be some Texans (7 last count I had) traveling to Garnett for the match this year. How about posting some info on round count and such, and the Sunday festivities. Thanks!
-
Not sure of the round count, should have it soon, Sun. AM is the double action match, it has always been 15 rounds.
-
Please let us know when a final round count is tallied. Thanks.
-
Will do. A little more on the shoot. Fri will be informal shooting & side matches. Sat. will be the main match. Sun is the double action match. Sat eve meal is provided with the entry. All other meals can be purchased on site from the cook. Prices are reasonable.

Though no preregistration is required, we would appreciate letting us know if you are coming, so the cook can plan on how much food to bring.

Megan and Guns will be there.

I am going to try and be there, although I won't be pre-registering. So don't plan meals for me.
I'll just stand around looking pathetically hungry. That's usually good enough to glean some scrapings off plates, perhaps an odd crust of bread here and there.

John, I will make sure you get fed, my friend! :D

Well, called the Garnett Inn where I have stayed before and they are booked up that weekend. Big wedding in town that weekend, it seems. (I didn't think the Garnett Inn has ever been booked up . . . ). So I'm on a standby list. They'll let me know a week in advance if any of the rooms held en bloc for The Big Wedding are released.
I will bring my Lean-to and oil groundcloth, and bedroll, just in case.

Sure an' you're yur Muther's Darling and I thank you for that, me Boy-o, but there'll be nothing of it! A mere broth of a lad such as me own self can do with a bit of potato or a scrap of dried beef I can carry in me poke.
Besides, the cook will always accept the shilling, I'll wager!

Round count; 50 revolver, 100 rifle should cover it. 15 rounds for the double action match.

John, are you bringing that other little John with you?

He has not said, but I am playing hooky from our BRR May monthly shoot on that weekend. We have gone to the first Sunday of the month for our monthly shoots.
I doubt if Yuma Kid will do likewise.
It's just that I haven't had my KVC fix in such a long time . . .

Just spoke with Mr. Irons. He said tell them "Valdez Is Coming!"

p.s. I'm trying to work on him for the Muster in October, too. And he's working on me for the Texas Regional in November.
You definitely should come down to Texas for the Regional, John. We would love to have you.

Same here. I could get in Sat., but not Fri. Ended up getting room at the "Economy Inn", located downtown Garnett. (Phone: (785) 448-6816)

Pards,
It is with regret that to to health issues, Penny and I will NOT make it to the 2-Gun Shoot this weekend. Apologies for the last-minute announcement, but we were hoping things would work out. Nothing serious, just precautionary. See y'all soon.
