Where might one procure the braid for an Officer's dress belt, sabre straps and Sam Browne Shoulder Strap (Indian War).

Sandy,
To the best of my knowledge there isn't a source for a good reproduction of the gold braid for the the officer's waist belt. I believe the snaps are available from S&S Firearms. I'm not familiar with the shoulder strap being used witht the officer's dress belt during the indian war period.

Do not have a clue where to get the braid. I was able to get the proper 4 row company grade infantry officer belt with saber and sam brown straps from Coon Creek Old West.

Did he use gold (the metal, not the color) braid? I would bet that would be really pricey. :o The only reproductions I've seen have been gold colored cloth.
