NOTE: the date posted  Wink

Well darn I missed the kickoff post.... thanks Marshall
Henry's have a home  Grin

My present one is my 3rd (well if I include my improved Henry the 66 )

My first was  in 44/40 early Uberti  imported by Navy Arms. I seem to remember it was about $375.
I used that one on horseback reenacting.
I had found a original barrel loop & swivel at Dixie Gun works and converted it to Military spec. .
Henry's were rare at CW reenactments in those days.
44/40's Brass did not like being made into blanks. So I  cut down and necked 444 Marlin brass and loaded 3FFF BP with a Styrofoam plug and a drop of white Elmer's glue.
I remember the big reenactment at  Five Forks, Va. in 1981. We sure surprised the charging Johnny's with our three (mine and two pards guns) with preparation "H" as we were called.
I wore the blue off that gun and browned it, only problem was my fault . I jammed the magazine follower spring and bent it,  was an easy fix though.
Sadly, I sold it when the wife and I were expecting, needed the funds you know ?

I had a Uberti Yellowboy Carbine in 38 Spc. from Navy Arms. This was my live fire match gun from about 83 to 89.
What a sweet shooter , never a problem. It also went to needed funds.
Beside it was out of my caliber anyway, by then, I was shooting 45 Colt. Still , I wish it had not gotten away.

So, that brings me to #3 the keeper , The wife surprised me Christmas of "99".
She worked out some ruse with my FFl to get me to stop in the store. There were about 5 or 6 pards there and Richard (FFL) said  " by the way Rog.. I just got this Military marked Henry in ...ain't it pretty ? the guys were look'n' & I had no clue  Huh
I think I said "yeah ... I like to have one again".
Richard said " well you DO,  this one is yours "
So this one is a keeper, so's the wife  Wink

It's my main match gun in 45 Colt. 6 years and still going strong....and as fast as I am anymore.  Cool

Here I thought you were going to use it- under your eyes.  Some folks use it for bags under the eyes.  Others use it to help stop wrinkles around the eyes.
 Sorry, I couldn't resist.  Cheesy

A blast from the passed....I ran across this OLD post from 11 years + ago....
thought I'd revisit it as things have changes some in those years...

Since the 'Keeper " ( read the first post )  I had added an Iron frame Henry ,  bought back the Old Navy Arms Henry, and acquired a Henry Repeating Arms H011....  that made 4

Then about 8 weeks ago....a Reenactor contacted me out of the clear...." Would I sell a Henry ? "   Hmmm , timing  was just about perfect as I was looking at S&W Russian , that might could be had ....

So , the well used Circa 1980 Navy Arms was offered and snapped up .... and returned to it's former glory Reenacting ....

The Keeper , the Iron Frame & the H011...   Oh! and the Russian & friend

I'm thinking that it's closets in general cuz some of the stuff in my closet has shrunked too? .? I've always blamed the house being built over an Indian burial ground for all the weird a$$ stuff that happens around here. Light bulbs going out premature. You know, things I just had in my hand and sat down but now can't find. Items that vanish and then reappear. And it ain't even halloween yet.

And an infestation of Poltergeist.  Shocked  Make my tools disappear too.  Lay a screwdriver down and it's gone for hours!!  Huh

Forgot.  Major 2 is really on to something.  Mix yer Preparation "H" about 50/50 with Bee's Wax and you'd have a really "sweet-n-slippry"
bullet lube.  Bullets through the bore like wet grain thru a Goose I betcha  Grin
