Morning y'all.
Coffee and iced tea are ready.

Found the remains of the mother cat. I suspect coyote.  >:(
The kittens are learning to feed themselves.  :)

Finally got the Beast unloaded from the Muster.
For those that haven't seen this in the Barracks, I've started uploading videos.

Afternoon all.

Just got back from Search and Rescue training for the month.  Today was "off road vehicle confidence training.". In other words, we rode ATVs for four hours.  Not too bad a day.  The Polaris Razor side by side thing was impressive.  It goes places and does things we can't do on the standard ATVs.

We have a few TSC guess the sex and breed ducklings, bought back in the spring. Finally have a total of one hen and two Drakes.  I may offer one for sale or just eat it. Today on my morning round of feeding, the little lady left her first butt nugget. Smaller than our older chicken eggs and also green shelled. The picture it was freshly brought in and had not been cleaned off. Something yesterday told me to leave them in the enclosure.

Kinda sorta miffed .... That collection of guns of the deceased fellow I mentioned
with the 03 Colt auto'  in #43  thread ...

The son came in a took them all home  ::)  that would be after My FFL friend logged them all in and he & I research value and fair market prices for him...
Helping Ted  (my FFL) I had several hours in , as did Ted , but it was interesting and fun research the information.
I come away, without perhaps getting one or more but still gained some current value estimates.

The biggest Foul , was the time Ted had in doing the FFL legal paperwork  :-X

93 and 50% humidity, heat index 101. Pretty miserable outside. Changed oil, replaced rear brake pads and  a headlight on the wife's trusty Trailblazer. Ready for a road trip now, somewhere in Colorado next week. No hard plans, but thinking of both Mesa Verde area, in the southwest, and Rocky Mountain National Park area north of Denver. Maybe a side trip to Utah-never been to Utah before. Tent camping as long as we're in areas where it's cool enough to sleep in a tent. If it's too hot, we'll just move up higher.

I'll warm up some coffee for the night crew and early risers.

Actually had some weather other than sun today. Rain and lightning.  Temperature stayed almost bearable today, only about 90.

Last night was kind of an interesting thing.  I went to the lake with a friend for some swimming, then when  we were leaving and crossing another road, we sank to the axles.  It took four hours to get out.

I picked up a pre-64 Winchester 94 in .30WCF (Ser # Dates it between 1941 to 48) that a previous owner has defiled, I'm going to try to restore it as best as I can, This will be an ongoing project and I'll post my progress from time to time, He's what I'm starting with...
