I have a Ruger New Vaquero with at loose loading gate. It closes all the way, but when carrying the gun and shooting it opens 1/16" and rattles. What could be the problem of this?

Check the loading gate spring, sounds liike it might be a tad weak or a little out of alignment.

mine is so stiff, you feel like you are going to break the gate shaft prying the thing open. had to massage these in the past to get the right feel.....kind of a pain to tinker with.
