I heard a song about the red back under the dunny seat. I always lift and check for Black Widows, basically same spider, different accent.
I just wanted to clarify, it the bite of the actual Black Widow spider I am worried about, and not the Scarlet Johanson character in the Marvel Comic movies... she is free to bite me anytime.

I laughed at that enough that my dog got excited. Roll Eyes

Afternoon all.

It is indeed Give me Candy day, and I've already seen people walking around in weird clothing.  I considered going out into the woods a mile or two out of town and staying there for the night, but I got a phone call from my mother informing me she is bringing pizza home.  Priority goes to the spaghetti bread.

Dog is thoroughly tired out now.  Took her for a 2 mile walk.  The last quarter mile or so goes up almost 600 feet, and the 3/4 before that makes up another 1500 or so.  She ran the whole thing while I walked at a fairly brisk pace.  Then there was a creek back where I parked, so I let her splash around for a few minutes before we left.  Shes curled up at my feet as I type.

The other useful thing I've done today is rake some leaves.  Chickens are scratching through them now.

Evening all.

Well, pizza is off the menu.  Apparently my sister is going to a church party down in the city, and the pizza wouldn't last in the car that long.  So I threw some canned "chili" (the kind with beans in it) on the stove and slapped together something resembling sweet corn bread (or is that cake?).  It fills the stomach.

Evening y'all.

Got home at 1900. Only got 3 birds. Missed only one. The birds are way down. Road hunted 'bout two hours early Sunday evening and didn't see a shootable bird.

Drove thru sn*w in Watertown, SD last night.

'Tis 30. High was 32.

Anyone saying over not under for the toilet paper ain't been around outhouses much.  Harder for spiders and paper wasps to hide on an under roll.
