I haven't seen this idea for a thread so I thought I'd start one. We've all seen and drooled over Hickock45s range and some others. But what does your own private range look like? My property is only about 2 acres but it butts up to huge fields, woods and an air strip and luckily the neighbors shoot too so I don't bother them. I'm in very rural eastern NC. My dad bought the property in 72. I really love it here. But this is where I shoot off of my deck. It's only about 40 yds deep but I can shoot at the far corner of the yard and get 80 yds. I've also got permission to shoot into the field after they harvest. Let's see what you've got.

Wow, I'm the only member of CAScity with a backyard range. I am truly blessed. Anytime you'll want to come by and shoot some let me know. Only time that we can't shoot is when I've got tractors or combines in the field.

My range was displaced when the timber company was here. It was only about 100 yds, a bit more is needed. Along the one side of my property, I had them cut a road. It would make a fine long range, maybe close to 1,000 yds... but it is a might overgrown. Amazing what 2-3 years will do.

Maybe in a couple of years, I'll have something to post here...first, I have to find some property that I can afford near Houston!

I don't really have a range-just 470 acres, just pick a place with a hill for a backstop and shoot.

As Jeff Foxworthery would say, If you landscaped your backyard into a shootin' range you might be a ...   My property is on a hill and I had to contour my range into it , so it is only 50 yrds.   Here it is guys https://youtu.be/5iANTDpEXNc      Jw

Every time I see the intro to this thread on the "forums" page, I think it reads "Show Off Your Privates"

Mad TV did a skit years ago called Saving Ryan's Privates. Everyones got privates but only a lucky few have ranges. Coffinmaker, I'm happy that I can bring a little smirk into your life.

Balto Ed ....

I'm just tickled we have such a great batch of folks here on CAS City.  It is just so much FUN to participate.  Even if there are times I are just a teensy bit snarky.
