I just watched the 1966 version of " Stagecoach" and I'm trying to figure out what kind of revolver Doc  Boone, played by Bing Crosby used in the Indian fight scene.  He was a Union veteran and I think his revolver resembled a Starr single action .44 percussion model, but I  was unable to get a really good look at it.   Anybody have a handle on what it was?

I believe it is a M1870  Gasser Austro-Hungarian cavalry revolver
