I been shootin the heck out out of my walker this last year and have totally reworked it back into my shooting regime. By bending the loading lever spring forward a bit and sticking to 30gr ff it stays up every shot. I even made a course of fire for it- 5shots one handed on a playing card at 5 yards, 5 shots on 5 tin cans at 25ft one handed, 6 shots on two paper plates at 10 yards (doubles) one handed, and 5 shots slow fire on a paper plate at 15 yards one handed. 20 shot par but its tougher than it sounds lol. Remember only 500 saw use in the mexican american war the other 500 went to the texas rangers out west and were never turned in. I imagine one would have been quite a comfort in a frontier home with indians in the area.
