Replica Morgan Dollars

In case anyone is looking for replica Morgan dollar coins to carry, I found an excellent price if you don't mind ordering from China: https://www.ebay.com/itm/122318384826

They are sold in other places as magic props (since they're steel they react to magnets), usually at a cost of around $7 each. This is a lot of ten for $16 including shopping. Based on photos from other places, looks like they're dated in the 1880s.

It looks like ebay caught it and shut it down.  I have seen these coins and they are very well made counterfeits who violate the hobby protection act and Ebay initiated a policy a few years back prohibiting this importation because of its effects on the collectors market.  I agree that they look great for the impression but too many people were importing them for less than noble reasons.

I actually ordered a handful of them. They are very realistic replicas, but they are marked as copies; however it's pretty darned inconspicuous (I actually had to use a loupe to see that it in fact says "copr"). The Chinese may be bad at making oil lanterns, but they're damned good at making fake silver dollars!

Edit: I just checked, and it looks like they're still available on eBay.

Second edit: Here's what they look like: https://imgur.com/a/wNK0E
