EMF Alchemista Base Pin seated yet cylinder spins free ??

  I own a 45 Colt  EMF Alchemista . When I insert My base pin My cylinder just spins freely : Whether I have the hammer cocked or not. If I cock the hammer the cylinder moves to the next spot. It just doesn't lock in place. It would be stupid to even dare firing because the Throat easily gets off line with the barrel.

I am guessing something is broke . I just don't see how or what . Any Ideas? Thanks Much

That's what I thought : Bolt appears as New: Spring is different then the norm it's just wire .And no the screw looked like that to begin with

I'm going to hope you didn't do that cause I'm gonna be insulting.  I've seen some really Micky Mouse stuff in the years I was a practicing Gunplumber.  And THAT is really Micky Mouse.  Either contact EMF, or VTI Gunparts and order up a new Pietta Trigger/Bolt spring and screw.  Then pull the bolt, insure it fits the cylinder notches, then polish the frame contact side of the bolt and the top of the bolt where the spring rides.  Should fix the problem.

PS:  I never recommend wire T/B springs.  To me, makes the action feel mushy.  I use the Pietta T/B spring for ALL my action work, including Uberti.  Oh, you need the T/B spring for SAs.  NOT for Percussion.

that "spring" looks like a piece of safety pin cut with Bell Co. Wire cutters

I've never taken it apart before: It's roughly 2 years old. I never used it until recently: Fortunately I was using dummy rounds when I noticed it. So apparently this must be home they come from EMF.
