Orange ?   National Bullying Prevention wearing ORANGE on Unity Day, October 25, 2017

it's also Anti Gun Violence Day on June 2...wearing of the orange.  I had to look these up. BTW

Goddess Chandraghanta wears orange on the For 9 Days Of Navratri   Undecided

Pink is for "SAVE THE TA TA's Day   Cheesy

Green -  for St. Patties Day
Blue  -  for World Autism Awareness Day
Red - for National Wear Red Day, to raise awareness for cardiovascular disease in women.
Purple -  to raise awareness about domestic abuse ,
Purple is  also awareness about epilepsy,  On March 26th annually,  and I think another in the rainbow for Bullying.

Yeah ! I know , it's early, I'm up , day off  and aside from drinking my coffee ....not much happening .....yet !

Guess wearing orange on St Paddy's could be considered bullying.   Grin

99.5% of the green wearers don't understand which means they don't deserve to wear green. Wink

Morning all.

I did get a cheeseburger yesterday!  I also got to take out trash... over 500 pounds of trash.

Today I don't have anything on the calendar.  It's opening day of youth turkey season, but I haven't qualified for that since... 2011 I think.

Morning all.

Rain has returned.  The heaviest rain all day, naturally, happened during my evening run.  Undecided  I expected that, but it wasn't any less cold.

Family is headed off to the city for church, while I've been elected to stay home and watch the canine version of Houdini.  Want to guess who's giving lessons in rabbit hunting to a Labrador?
She's still pretty gun shy, so I'm working on her with an air gun to start off with.

It seems to be a beautiful day for the first COWS shoot of the year......but at starting time it was cold and raining-pretty hard rain. So most of us bailed out. By the time I got halfway home, the rain stopped, now the sun is shining bright.

I have to brag.   Roll Eyes

I've been working on our dog, and finally felt comfortable letting her off the leash outside of the yard.  She was so excited, and I got to keep my arm in the socket.  Grin

Coffee and water are steaming. Cups are out.

Weather is about to change.  Last day of sunshine today, before TK’s clouds blow in over the Hill.  Supposed to get about .25 in. of rain tomorrow and Wednesday.  The Truckee and most of its feeders are still running high, so a lot of people around here are crossing their fingers to keep everything within the banks.  They have been letting water out of Lake Tahoe and a few other reservoirs to keep some room in them for the thaw when the sn*w in the mountains starts to melt.

Morning all.

Took the dog out twice yesterday, for a total of about 10 miles of primarily up hill( I live in a place where you can literally go uphill both directions.  Roll Eyes  ).  She's discovering her Labrador side, in that no puddles were passed without at least getting bounced in.  There's also a pond where I introduced her to swimming: a decision she is very happy about.

Now, on to work today. I'm going to try to vacuum today before anyone gets in and tries to make important phone calls.

Had to take our fire hoses to one of the streets this morning. Boss didn't like all the mud someone got all over the place. Unloaded boxes of skirting for one of the older homes, and then planted three light posts at the new homes. Had enough time to set them up, eyes, head and bulbs. just have to put the plugs on the other end of the wires tomorrow. Roll Eyes

Fire is banked, pot is on, got home about a half hour ago, microwaved some supper and headed to bed.  Still at at least 2 weeks out before things can change.

Morning all.

It's 45 here, with scattered rain.  And by that, I mean dry one second, pouring the next, then dry again.  It's like standing under a bucket of water that someone dumps on you.  All or nothing.

Yesterday, I think I broke nature...  I was out with the dog on a sort of narrow bank beside a pond.  I was throwing sticks for her, and I grabbed this one stick that was about the size of a baseball bat.  As I threw it, the ground I had been standing on started to dissolve under my feet, so I jumped back.  As I sat there watching it, a channel through the side of the pond just opened up and water just poured out.  It was still going when I left.  Huh  Apparently it was a magic stick.

Well, I mean, technically it's behind the Oroville.  But, there is a 300 mile distance between. Wink

Morning all.

I have to get to work early today.  They have a big meeting going at 8:30 in the conference room, and I haven't been able to clean it all week because there have been small meetings.  Undecided

Weather is both clear sky and pouring rain simultaneously today.  I still haven't figured it out.
