Grin I like that one.

Got the Smith & Wesson 1917 to look the part and I love History.

But, Harrison Ford I ain't. And I'm lousy(read dangerous to myself and others) with a bullwhip.  Roll Eyes

Quoting myself always feels good.  Grin

The pictures of my 1917 were at work.

Gotta love the S&W 1917. I desperately want one. Caught between one of those or an 1873 repro in .44-40.

Not a 1917  but a S&W Hand Ejector Model  .... this one circa 1915-16  it has history ...though never fired in anger it was my Dads companion aboard his 32' Launch "Lenape' .
He skippered as part of the USCG reserve Jan 1942- Aug. 1942 , coast watching Lower Biscayne Bay & upper Key Largo...for German U-Boat landings of infiltrators & possible saboteurs ....

That is cool. Did your dad meet Hemingway?
What caliber is that Smith? The 1917 is technically a Hand Ejector Second Model.

He never mentioned meeting Hemmingway ... his favorite book though was the Old Man and the Sea

He did know Desi Arnaz , Al Capone Jr. (Sunny) .... met the Old man Alphonse "Al" Capone once .

and a neighbor of Marjory Stoneman Douglas

Well, Desi Arnaz, and the Capones, mainly the "Old man" are no strangers to me. Marjory I had to look up.

It's cool your Dad met folks the whole Workd knows about. Mainly because at that time the World was way larger than today, when a teenage farting in front of a wired computer can make him/herself World famous overnight.  Roll Eyes
