Afternoon all.

Today is a far cry from yesterdays weather.  25 degrees and clear when I left for work.  Now it's 60 degrees with scattered clouds.

After work, I had to take my mom to a dentist appointment.  Getting a tooth filled, so she didn't want to drive 40 miles of icy mountain roads with weird drugs in her system.  Turned out that she didn't need any anesthetic, since all the dentist did was score the tooth and seal it with polymer stuff.   So, I took a nap while I waited and on the way home. Roll Eyes

In a while I'm going to go try and get some pictures of the elk herd in the area.  I got a tip that they were out of the hills and in a valley/hay field.

We rarly get that cold here- but we do. We add Apple Cider Vinger to a gallon water feeder. It helps keep algie growth down(warmer weather). Helps worm the birds. It does freeze here around 30 over night. That is why i use one gallon waterers. I think Slim and the Slimettes raise a few. Not sure what he does for winter water. With the few birds i have they keep me in eggs year round.

Stuff is hot and ready.

Got everything straightened out with the home phone and cell phone (my wireless provider accidently gave my new cell the phone number of my home phone, they were supposed to transfer my old cell phone number to the smart phone).  Had to answer incoming home phone call on my wireless for a a day or two.  Everything is squared away now.

This morning is starting out cold and sunny at 30 heading for a high of 40.  We start a week long warming to day with a goal of highs near 50 by next Monday.

Rusty- i think you maybe the only person i know that has a house phone these days.

Just for kicks get a rotory dial phone and ask a grandchild to call someone on it. It like pushing a slinky down the steps.

I have one of those (dial-in-handset phone, not grandkid).  I's' in a spare bedroom to answer incoming calls only.  Have another of the same mode, but with a touchtone dial that gives me emergency access if the power goes out and all the wireless base stations quit working.  The home phone doesn't cost that much, and I don't have to worry about using up wireless cell phone minutes.
