I was stationed in Quebec during the Centennial, glad I made it for the 150.

I spent a week at EXPO '67. Mostly in the Barbadian pavilion, soaking up the excellent rum.

I was serving in Germany with 4 CMBG during our centennial. The Germans laughed at us saying that 100 years was "modern history" and that as a country, we had "keine kulture".

I said - "That's true, but our homes have central heating, flush toilets and we didn't kill 6 million people in WWII."

That usually terminated the conversation, other times getting a little testy .....
"I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted, I won't be laid a hand on.
I don't do these things to others and I require the same from them."  John Wayne

I was in First Horse at the time. Caught a flip back to Canada for Expo.

I was too busy yesterday to post a Happy Birthday canada. Yeah! Iknow! I miss everybodies birthday, until a bit later. I celebrated by doing some gardening and BBQ a big steak, washed down by some Forty Creek, Copper Pot Reserve CANADIAN whiskey.

We went to the Canada Day parade at Spruceview, AB.  Lots of horses. Then a -BQ for lunch, then later, dinner at the Innisfail Golf Course.
