Lead in a Thompson with a compensator.

Can you do it without leading problems. If so how? If not how can you remedy the problem so you can shoot lead in it?

I'm shooting Molly's out of mine and the carbine stays very clean. 230 moly WST powder and ww large pistol primer. My WB load with 165+ power factor.  Dusty Boddams

Did you change the springs for the lighter load?

The harder the bullet the less leading you will get in the comp.  Not sure if the hi tech coating will stop that but I would think so.  What I have found is you do need to clean out the comp from time to time.  Be sure to use a light and look down into the comp from the front.  Lead will build up under the barrel in the bottom of the comp.  You should be able to get in there with a small tool or pick and keep that area clean.

WM, I cut a coil off of each spring and that was it. The gun runs fast and spits brass as it should. Mine is an old one but a friend has a new one and it really is  difficult to pull the bolt back to charge it.  Dusty
