November 11th - the eleventh hour of the eleventh month when the Great War (1914-18) came to an end. Take a moment to reflect on this day of Remembrance.
This is a day of national mourning and remembrance for Canucks, for the sacrifices made by so many then and in all the wars since. And they still go on .....

The wearing of the Red Poppy, made famous in Col. McCrae's "In Flander's Fields, the poppies grow, between the crosses, row on row ..." iconic war poem has become a national tradition. The Royal Canadian Legion raises funds by selling the famous Red Poppy lapel pins to finance the good work they do.

"And yes, it's true, what they say
of war and war's alarms.
But Oh, that I was young again
and held her in my arms."

Thanks to all who served and those who still serve.
