Gentlemen, after a couple years of health, job issues, dealing with my father's estate, and moving fro Texas to Idaho I am back in the swing of things (kind of sort of).

So I have my business now" F Troop Company LLC. You can find me on facebook. Two exciting things are in the works. 1. I have sent alot of original 1870-1900 era items to What Price Glory. We will see what is doable and what is not. More details when I know how things are moving along.  Part of all this is that if you haven't seen WPG's latest offerings you need to go check them out. Right now he has CORRECT M1897 leggings for only $45! Perfect for you Rough Riders out there! He also has M1874 Type II and Type III clothing bags in stock. These were also used as haversacks in the Spanish American War believe it or not! In addition he offers M1878 Haversacks and Blanket Bags! He really is keen on branching out into earlier time periods. He also just got in stock USMC 1898 Lee cartridge Belts, suspenders, and CORRECT USMC Span-Am shirts (these are NOT the same as the 1883 Army shirt)

2. I have been looking at private collections to reproduce some very rare 1870's era leather items. However my knowledgeable leather guy also had a few of life's "moments" the last couple years. Hopefully this is the year we can move forward!

Check out WPG and I'll try and keep you updated on my end of things as well!

Best, Chris!

VERY cool!  Welcome back, and I'll check his stuff out.  Jerry has become pretty much the go-to guy in our game, hasn't he?!

Chris!

It's great hearing from you!

At one point you were talking about coming to the Grand Muster. Any chance you're considering making the trip this year?

Its been alot of ups and downs the last couple years. As for Grand Muster this year is also probably out. I am currently unemployed and looking for work, so not everything is back up to snuff. So traveling is probably out this year along with other projects I am working on. Most trips will be made to look at original 1870's and 1880's leather gear.

Good to be back on track though!

One item we are very much wanting to reproduce is the M1870 Dyer Sling Pouch. I have gotten alot of feedback from both re-enactors and shooters that this is an item they would like to have.

I also have a person in Montana that is making museum quality 1870's clothing. Men's, Women's and Military. She has does amazing M1872 pleated blouses (after being allowed to pattern the original at the Big Hole Battlefield) and she is tweaking her patterns for M1874 blouses and M1872 Dress Coats!
