Got Skyed yesterday by my adoptive father in Oregon.  He has some bets he wants me to place for him on the Derby.  They include 1 horse to win, 3 horses to place, 2 exata boxes and 2 super fectas.  Total bets are very small, but I donít have any idea about what most of the bets ae, just feeling like a bookie!

So itís off to the Grand Sierra Resort later.

Chicken on the grill, if the rain allows, for supper tonight.

I read on Facebook this morning that Del's friend Rick has passed away. He had been ill for some time. Prayers up to his family. Rick was a former Navy Corpsman and he was Del's kitchen helper at the Musters. RIP Rick, You will be missed.

I'll be praying for the family.

Was got re-piling some lumber. Taking a re-hydration break.

Order a replacement Krag ejector and pin today, since it wasn't doing its job.  Roll Eyes

I am planning on grilling burgers on the patio for supper tonight, baked beans and potato salad. The weather has been nice, but we have had some wind. It is supposed to rain some tomorrow and next week.

Well, Dadís bets didnít pay off, but I managed to make $80.00 playing video poker while I waited.

Supper turned out to be fried chicken from the local deli, as the weather decided not to cooperate either.

Tonightís pizza night, so Iíve still got the night off.

Congrats Major  Smiley

Made something today, I really liked

I  mixed  BBQ sauce ( Jack Daniels Maple Brown Sugar ) and squeeze of Lime and drenched Raw Cauliflower, then sprinkled on seasoned bread crumbs.
Bake in the oven @ 400 for 20 minutes .....
Serve with Ranch for dipping

G'mornin, Pards, thanks fer the cuppajoe.

I read yesterday about Shawna passing away; my heart aches for Tom (40 Rod), I have considered him a friend for many years.

We have us another nice day here, but the weather prognosticators are saying - and I believe them, because I can prognosticate, too - it's going to get hot today, and hotter each day from here forward; maybe 100 by the weekend.

Since I am up early, for me, that is, I'm going to try to get something useful done today.

Later.

None of those were my pictures, ones floating around town.

Mine, first one the arrow points to where the nasty stuff was happening about 10 miles east of me.

The next is where a 'nader is about 15 miles south, the third rotation over my house when we got home, the funnel we could see from the grocery store with everyone else taking pictures did not come out good.

The last needs no explanation.   Roll Eyes  Local weather head on an Omaha station tried taking people to task a couple weeks ago for out taking pictures, local rumor says they're upset cause the public got better pictures than they did. Grin
