Passage of Ken Taylor
« on: October 16, 2015, 06:26:59 PM »
Ken Taylor, Canada's Ambassador to Iran during the Tehran hostage situation passed away yesterday at the age of 81, following a battle with the "Big C".

It was Taylor who did the right thing by doing what he could to help US Embassy staffers escape incarceration by Irani radicals. He did so at his own peril and that of his own people, but they felt they had no choice.

The story was the subject of the movie "Argo". The world lost a quiet, unassuming hero today. He eventually became a US citizen in 1985. Hopefully there will be a red Maple Leaf flag Maple at his memorial. That's one leaf that will never fall ..... ;>(

Best thing to do is just ignore them. They want attention, don't give it to them.
