10/16/10 SMOKE ON THE RIVER

Saturday, October 16, 2010, the Illowa Irregulars will host their 4th Annual Black Powder shoot, SMOKE ON THE RIVER, at the Milan Rifle Club, Milan, Illinois. This is a one day, six stage shoot for these categories:

Frontiersman
Frontier Cartridge L & M
Frontier Cartridge Duelist L & M
Frontier Cartridge Gunfighter L & M
PALE RIDER - shot gunfighter/double duelist
WARTHOG - shot two-handed/duelist.
Trophies will be awarded to 1st Place in all categories, with unique trophies through 5th Place in PALE RIDER and WARTHOG. We want to encourage the big-bore folk to come and play without having to compete with the smaller bores and/or lighter loads. Firearm/loading requirements for PALE RIDER and WARTHOG are standard Pale Rider rules.


There is no pre-registration for this event. Entry is $15, BUT if you sign up and pre-pay on Saturday, you can enter our regular monthly shoot on Sunday, 10/17 for just $5 more, giving you two days and 12 stages of Cowboy Action in our Cowboy Town of Camden Mills fort just $20!

Registration opens at 8:00 AM, shooter's meeting at 9:15 AM. All SASS rules apply.
Lunch will be available on the grounds.

Guess I should have said "WARTHOG - shot squaw-grip or duelist"... However, as long as they're match legal and loaded with BP/sub, you can hold 'em how you like - we've got a category for it!
