Looking for a peice of 1oz leather

Howdy Pards,
I need to buy a 36" long by 3" wide peice of leather. Doesn't have to be veg tanned, I am trying to make a tri fold wallet for mt neibor, I had a couple of the wallet kit blanks frim Tandy, but they were way to thick. Any advice or help, will be greatly apprecaited!

Try funiture leather, have seen it in simulated alligator etc. Have purchased small chunks from Tandy.

Upholstery or shoe leather is a good idea and can had fairly cheap, The only problem I have with most upholstery or shoe leather is it tend to act and look like Nagahide.. If you want the good stuff, that is very light and very strong then you will want Kangaroo. It actually feels and looks like leather...
