Anyone know how to do this? I want to replace the stock one with one from the Smith Shop, but don't know how to get the stock one out of the hammer.

The retaining pin, part 30 in the VTIgunparts exploded view, (the same part number as the roller pin below) is near the top of the hammer.  Drive it out  with a pin punch, and remove the firing pin.

If your mechanically inclined at all, it shouldn't be a problem.
Sometimes when I replace a FP, I don't like the factory pin (soft), so I make a new one, or visit my local full-service hardware store (True-Value).

So can an after market firing pin be had for  an 1860 R&M? I have three Uberti's, two of which are the older Uberti versions.

How is the R&R?

Thanks
