Just in case some of you guys might be interested:-
http://www.bwss.co.uk/Sorry, I don't know how to make it a link. (Amazing!!! Just tried it and it's done it all by itself!!)
I am not an official of the BWSS, this is my opinion as I have experienced it.
We shoot in much the same manner as our American cousins, as far as I can tell, but we don't have an NCOWS section or cook's section that I know of.
A fair few of the ones I shoot with appear to take great care with their appearance but the standard of dress does vary.
The same goes for our weapons, due to the Draconian licensing laws over here.
Underlevers are no problem, as are shotguns but revolvers can vary.
The majority are still using C&B, but there are a few now starting to use the nitro converted cylinders that are getting more freely available.
These are similar to your Kirst and R&D, except they are not drilled through to take a cartridge, but must still be loaded as a C&B cylinder but using nitro powder and set off by a shotgun primer, the chamber being restricted midway through.
This makes shooting much cleaner and slightly cheaper as there are only about 3gr of nitro powder as apposed to 20-30 of Black.
Goes without saying that the cleanup is quicker and less dirty, and there are less jams.
I have shot with 'The Undertaker' who sports a pair of Cattlemen with approx 18" barrels. (Refer that one to the Leather Forum!).
This allows him to shoot them with cartridges and gets round our stupid 24" overall length rule for cartridge revolvers.
I will be happy to answer any questions, (to the best of my ability).
