Can we....'Rent' some Texas pheasants down there for Trap?

Yes there is:  http://www.choctaw-preserve.com/

This place is a private game preserve with about 40 acres of farm raised imported Pheasants.  They are not as challenging as wild field Pheasants (I've hunt in South Dakota, so I've seen how "real" Pheasants break.).  Since this a game preserve and they are not indiginous game, there is no limit on them and hens are legal game as well.  They have them mixed in with Chukar as well.

Mansfield Slim and I went on a hunt there in 07.  This the result of one morning hunt:

Choctaw is about a 45 mintue drive from our range.

Trap,

We have a few knockdowns that can be used to release a clay bird.  I have not incorporated them into our match's stages, but if it'll influence your decison I'llput them in for you.

It's not the shootin'  It's the dog work. TJ will be able to identify with this.

Trap, I agree. When you take the dog out of hunting it is no longer fun. Tj

Oklahoma Tom

Larry and I have been wondering when you'd get over our way.  Looking forward to having you visit with us.  No need to close shop, just bring some inventory and set up as a vendor.  I know we're wanting to incorporate some pocket pistol shooting in some of our stages so bring 'em too.  Also, anything we can do to help Preacher in his NCOWS efforts, just ask and we'll come arunnin'.

Just a reminder:  We are 6 weeks away from the 1st Annual NCOWS Southwestern Regional.  We are still taking applications.

You can download applications here:  http://www.texastenhorns.com/Gonetotexas.htm

The application also has schedules and details regarding the match.

If you have trouble downloading the application, please let me know and I can email one directly to you.

We are anticipating a great turn out, fantastic vendors, and really good food served from a chuckwagon.
