NEW SASS GUN!!

As many of you may know, SASS announced earlier this year that the SASS Colt would no longer be available, and from my knowledge, is no longer advertised in the CC.

It seems that SASS has found another manufacturer to take up the SASS brand, and that being Ruger.

At the SASS booth they had a brace of 4 5/8" SS New Vaqueros with a Montado hammer and the SASS Marshal inlayed into the grips.

Coyote Calhoun informed me that the RNV was the new SASS gun.

Support the ones that support the sport!

I'm glad to hear someone has "picked up the ball".  I'm also glad it was Ruger as that probably means the quality will be better and the price will be lower.
That being said...  I'm also glad I got my SASS Colt.  I'm sure it's one of the last ones made.

I wonder what percentage of SASS members shoot Rugers.

I saw a non-scientific poll once that said 68% of SASS shooters shoot Ruger six-guns.
I'd reckon that is about right for the local clubs I frequently visit.

Well I shoot Rugers, Colt and Remington clones and sometimes real Colts but about 90% of the time I shoots my 4 old model Vaqueros 'cause I know I can bang away all day and not worry about breaking anything.

I'm guessing the Montado hammer is SASS leagl because it is original equipment?
