Here is a California style slim jim holster I made for a 1851 Navy, pretty standard style for the 1850's. The carving pattern is my goofy idea ( I did see some of it on the cover of a magazine, it wasn't on a holster) I am working on  my non-artistic abilities Roll Eyes.  This is the first time I made a toe plug and sewed it in place, not as big a deal as I had thought it would be.  Undecided  I kind of like them now.  Wink

Howdy Wiley,
Beautiful job! The carving pattern is not a goofy idea. I really like it. This Holster looks right out of the pages of "Packing Iron". That 51' Navy will look right at home in this one. Many thanks for showing it to us.
