    Awesome sheath pard, I like everything about it, great color/ inlay/ lacing and design, that knife is neat too, a real period folder Roll Eyes Cool,  what type inlay, real or artificial, it really looks good with that dark brown  Roll Eyes

Hi Ace and thank you. I  buy raw Damascus billets from several damascus makers and then cut and shape my own blades, and do my own heat treat.I even tanned the snakeskins.Dave Grin

Montana, I keep reminding a friend of mine who builds bunk beds to support his family since being laid off work that he's not building a frame for the Mona Lisa! I guess I need to listen to my own advice.

To punch holes, I use an Osborne Hammer awl, an idea from Chuck Burrows. I use a Dremel with a small drill bit to punch through the welt, an idea from several guys here on the Forum.

Here it is pretty much finished. It’s for a hefty guy, so having the holster tilt out some is real handy. This is my first 1911, and I sure do appreciate Slowhand Bob’s pattern and tutorial.
