Why do I get the “Recent unread topics” page

Ok Cammie
I know you’ve been helping the Marshall for a long time on the web site.  This isn’t a complaint or anything, I’m just a little curious.  Why do I get the “Recent unread topics” page every so often, and then just get the normal page with the “new” listings amid all the other threads.
Like I said just curious, not sure if it’s some setting on my browser, or something that just happens on the CAS City server.

Well, I just now found out where the recent unread topics page is at    Do you have CAS City bookmarked and it that how you get here or do you type it in or what?

I have a shortcut on my desktop points to http://www.cascity.com/forumhall.  That’s been my link for years.  It’s only when opening some threads that I get “recent unread topics”.  Never consistently on a given thread, nor does it only show up on a specific thread,  Like I said. Not a big deal.  Just found it kinda strange!
