Saw a similar post on the SASS Wire askin' what Pards did when not shootin' Cowboy Action?  Or , in other words---WORK?

I'll get it rollin' here....
Formerly Nebraska farmer/rancher with hogs, cattle, horses, grains.
Was also engine shop machinist & aircraft mechanic.
Currently Nat'l Guard SFC & helicopter technical inspector.
And I've been an FFL dealer since about 1979.

well I farmed row crops, soybeans, wheat and alfalfa up till I was about 36,  did some work as a policeman and Deputy Sheriff during these years also.

then spent 10 years writing Bail Bonds and chasing down the ones who didin't show up, was a fun job, nothing like chasing people down,  more fun than deer hunting. Grin

the last 10 years raising Butterball and Honeysuckle White Trukeys.  ain't had to chase nothing but turkeys the last few years.

I spent 45 years in the meat business/ food ,in the U.F.C.W. Just resentley RETIRED, I like the word RETIRED, a year ago and now the onliest thing I do now, is have fun playing COWBOY, like this word too, and make leather stuff and work on my guns, and load ammo, watch western movies, and do WHAT EVER I WANT TO DO , this is a 360 degree change for me , after working 6 days a week and 48 to 60 hrs. a week , I like this ,I like being RETIRED. Huh Cool

Actually...as little as possible Grin... Finance and Mortgages for 30+ years. Owned small mortgage company in Indiana for last 10 years...sold it in 2000, moved to Virginia, and retired...Yeeehaawwwww Cheesy

Working as a Civil Engineer for the State of California, trying to improve the trasportation system Roll Eyes.  Was a seasonal firefighter through college to support my CAS/shooting habit.

I also volunteer for the Dept. of Fish and Game as an instructor in the Hunter Safety Program.

And Currently DADDY to a rambunctious 2-1/2 year old who goes by Kurt N. Kleimer (who really wants to shoot with dad NOW!).

I was in law enforcement until I recieved a non duty related medical retirement and now I teach children with learning disabilities in grades kindergarten through 5th.
