I'm glad that I am not as old as the rest of you. We got our first TV in 1953, when I was only 7 years old. I was in college when Star Trek was on.

Don't mean to hijack the thread but since we're on the topic........ what about the ever complaining Dr. Smith from Lost in Space. He really got on my last nerve.

Thanks...I feel better now. I guess I fit into the old folks category too!!!

I never paid much attention to Smith, especially in the last couple seasons.  Now Penny Robinson (Angela Cartwright), well, her charachter was a little more ....er...developed.  (Her and Marsha Brady!!!)

I assume other "elderly" curmudgeons besides myself (.... such as, say, General Scout and River City John ....) will recall the series.   Grin

Well,

The only thing that will keep me away, is if Uncle Sam has something for me to do around that time.  Other than that, I have gotten the blessing from my wife to get that Pedersoli 1873 Springfield Trapdoor Carbine.  I am looking forward to shooting with that and my USFA Government Inspectors model.  Not sure if I will shoot BP or Smokeless yet, but I am looking forward to the event.  My wife only get's 2 weekends off a year and we are using one of those weekends for that.

I am going to Gettysburg this summer.  I may try to find a good deal on a repro of a Berdan's Sharps.  Would be nice to get to pull the trigger a few times on it at the GAF Muster for some LD.... Wink

Looking forward to seeing you again, Major!

I'm thinking I may have to forego the pleasure and convenience of shooting a break action Webley, just so I can shoot my newly acquired Colt Model 1878 .... THE Canadian North West Rebellion revolver, and therefor ideal for my 1885 Queen's Own Rifles of Canada persona ....

Managed to get out to the range today to "function test" a few guns, including the Colt M1878.  It is a pleasure to shoot, and seemed quite accurate, though like most originals of that vintage,\ it prints quite high at CAS-type distances ...   Grin
