Pitspitr:

Hello my name is Texas Sarge and this is my first post.  I have been reading the Barracks since July of '06.  I live in Texas around San

Antonio and would like to attend the Grand Muster in Oct. of '08 with two of my shooting buddies, Scooter and Jake Jones.  If you

would put us down for three bunks in the enlisted quarters that would be great.  The photos look great and will be looking forward

to next year.  Thanks

Texas Sarge

This looks to be the best Muster yet.

Col. Pitspiter, Please put me down for a bunk in the barracks, or even a corner of the stable. Any place out of the rain will do. Looking forward to 08. Al

Gottcha Shalako,
How's a corner of the latrine sound? Naw, I wouldn't do that to you. A bunk in the Barracks it is.

AAARRRGH!! as Charley Brown would say.

I just received a copy of ENCYCLOPEDIA OF INDIAN WARS Western Battles and Skirmishes, 1850-1890 by Gregory F. Michno
It is an excelent reference with information on even some minor encounters fairly close to my home I wasn't even aware of. It lists the fights chonologically with maps showing battle sites and dates in the front of the book and graphs and tables in the back. I got a "used, like new" hardback from Amazon for $17.10. It easily has to be one of the best values I've ever bought.

I've found so many interesting fights that lend themselves so well to writing stages that I don't know know how I'm going to cull them down to just 10.  Roll Eyes Hey I know, anybody up for a week long muster with 6-8 stages per day? No, probably not. Embarrassed I guess I'll just have to save a few and maybe do a Grand Muster again another time.
