Aaaahhhh .... the 'innocence' of youth .....   Roll Eyes

I wasn't referring to that johnny-come-lately Spock!   Undecided

Rather, the line I quoted was frequently uttered by the bubble-headed robot ("Model B-9 Environmental Control Robot") on the original "Lost in Space" series .... along with such other memorable gems as: "Danger, Will Robinson!  Danger!"   Shocked

I assume other "elderly" curmudgeons besides myself (.... such as, say, General Scout and River City John ....) will recall the series.   Grin

Aha!  I see that Sgt. Drydock fits into the "elderly crumudgeon" category!   Grin

Unless his knowledge arises from mere "re-run exposure", that is  .....   Cry

I'm so,. . . .uhmmmm, let's see, how was it so eloquently put, 'elderly and a curmudgeon', that I remember the first appearance of Robby the Robot in "Forbidden Planet" Grin

And my first,. . .uhmmm,. stirrings. . . .ahhhh Anne Francis!

My, My John!  You are .... ummmm .... 'elderly', aren't you!

Well, if your fading eyesight is up to it, I'm sure you'll enjoy this clip:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eGnCInjRhHw

Although entitled "Robot Robby from Forbidden Planet (1956)",  there is actually a lot more footage of Anne Francis strutting about in a high dudgeon (.....  a word entirely unrelated to' curmudgeon', by the way ....) before Robby appears at the end of the clip.

(Not actually the same robot, by the way, but clearly of the same "lineage" .....)
