I know BJT hates the reset time on this target and I'm with him there.  However, from a SHOOTING perspective, it's a fun target to engage.  We have one at Deadwood and so far we've shot it with every gun.  This last monthly match, Lefty had us engage it with one pistol only.  Five rounds for five moving targets.  Here's the kicker......each paddle knocked out was worth TWO seconds in bonus time.  That made them very worthwhile to take the time to engage.  Bud actualy slowed down (if you consider a 19 second raw time as opposed to a 14 second raw time slowing down...) and managed to gather up 22 bonuses.  Yep, he turned in a NEGATIVE stage time.  How's that campers?

So, how do you take on the Texas Star?  The prevailing wisdom is to shoot at the top and work your way down in an "S" pattern to minimize target swing.  I did that last time out and managed to hit 4 out of 5 so I was pretty happy.

Yup, IROT you have it on how to shoot it. I like it too, once in a while. I got four too I think. I watched Bud shoot it and what do you mean slowed down? He had them all down before the top plate settled on the ground.  Smiley That kid hasn't got a slow mode, never has and I have shot with him since he got started. It took him a little while to find the front sight though. After that there was no stopping him.  Smiley
