The block is made from oak. The leather is 8-10oz or better. Border stamped with name and picture stamps(if they fit after the name is put on). I'll try my best to explain.
(If I'm over explaining I apologize.) In most matches each stage will have a set number of rounds required for each pistol, rifle and shotgun. Normally this will be 5 rounds for each pistol and 7 to 10 rounds for the rifle. A loading block allows you to prepare for the stage by placing the cartidges you will need in the holes in the block. the leather piece will snap closed keeping the shells in place. The small strap is looped over a knife handle or otherwise hung on your holster rig so when you go to the table to load you will have the correct number of shells at hand. For me it sure beats carrying a box of shells around on my person, I can just leave them on the cart.

I bought one of the Marshal's loading blocks and was mighty impressed!!! First class materials and top notch craftsmanship. Got it FAST and have used it for a goodly while with no problems. Sure can't beat it!!!!
