In the early spring of 1984, I bought a brace of Allen Firearms Old Model .45s, probably the first ones to come into the Phoenix valley. Imported by Allen Firearms of Santa Fe, New Mexico, these Uberti made Colt Cousins were the very first of the black powder frame single actions and are the direct predecessors of the Cimarron Model P.
