Posted by Sagebrush Burns: It is an honor and a pleasure to report another successful color guard detail performed by GAF members at the SASS Hell on Wheels regional match over Independence Day week-end.

Special thanks go to Wretched Excess (formerly known as Chicago Kid) and Captain Jack Storm who did most of the “on the ground” preparation and organization.  During the organizing process we recruited two new members:  Bat Masterson and Black Jack Flagg.

As they usually do, members of the Wyoming National Guard medical response team also participated.  They were:  SFC Donald Yizar (NCOIC), SGT Wayne Jones, and SP Tucker Gosbee.

Even though he did not shoot in the match, longtime color guard participant Joe Dirt made himself available for the detail.

Completing the color guard were Wretched Excess, Dept of the Platte COS; Captain Jack Storm, newly appointed commander of the Division of Colorado; and Sagebrush Burns, Dept of the Platte CO.

Many thanks to all who participated and to the match organizers for again providing the opportunity for the Grand Army of the Frontier to honor the colors.
